
The system of services for children and youth at risk in Israel is complex, and includes many services which are provided by government agencies, local authorities, and various voluntary organizations.
Government services include:
• Educational support services and programs for at-risk students
• Family-centered or parent support services
• After-school care
• Services for disengaged and marginal youth, including gender-specific services for girls and boys, shelters for runaway youth, frameworks for delinquent youth, and alternative frameworks for dropouts
• Out-of-home foster and residential care
• Services for children and youth with special needs, including special education schools, subsidized rehabilitative services and equipment, respite care, out-of-home care, leisure activities, vocational training, and inclusion programs.
• Emergency and protection services
