To address the problems facing Israel's children and youth at risk, Ashalim targets its programs to different groups – according to age, by cultural background, by geographic region, and by the challenges and level of risk that they face. We aim to help these groups of children and youth at risk as they grow and develop. In addition, Ashalim is there to meet the urgent needs of children and youth whose well-being is placed at risk suddenly due to terror or war-related experiences
In developing programs that will minimize risk factors and improve available care, Ashalim works with a wide variety of services with which children and youth at risk and their parents interface, including health clinics, schools, community services, welfare departments, out-of-home placements, and juvenile justice services.
